Vintage Leather is highly sensitive to UV light because only a very mild and light surface coating is applied on the hide. Therefore, keep the product away from direct sunlight, or bright indirect sunlight. Heat should also be avoided to prevent the colour from fading and drying out.
For general cleaning: lightly dust your product with a soft, clean cloth that's slightly damp. You may also use a leather care product that's specifically for Aniline Leather.
For spots and stains: Clean with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. Use mild soaps to remove stubborn stains.
Additional notes:
Do not use harsh cleaners or polish, as it will damage it's durability.
It is important to clean the entire area or panel, not just rubbing on a spot. This way, the area will look more uniform after it dries.
Please allow the product to air dry naturally. Do not use a hair dryer or heat gun.
The salts and body oils occurring natural in human skin can damage the surface of the leather if left uncleaned for lengthy periods. Therefore, it's important that you clean your product every 3-4 months to prevent perspiration, body oils, and dirt from bring embedded in the leather grain which can cause it to crack and peel.
Only use Aniline leather care kits or products to clean, and follow the instructions provided carefully.
